Privacy notice

Lifenavv is a service of Co-create Development Ltd, a Canadian company. This notice explains what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The short version
- For the free short list we never ask for your child's name.
- For the Season Package we collect only what scholarship applications require.
- Your child's profile and drafts are seen by you, your child and your named reviewer. Nobody else.
- Email us and we delete your details within 7 days.
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use advertising cookies.

We do not collect your child's name, date of birth, school, gender, race, religion or disability.
Season Package
Everything above, plus your name and phone (for the kick-off call), your child's first and last name (required by applications), notes from the 30-minute interview with your child, drafts and their edits, documents you upload (such as a transcript or reference letter), messages with your reviewer, your approvals, and the results of each application. Payment is handled by Stripe; we keep only Stripe's reference numbers, never your card details.
How we use it
- To find awards your child is eligible for and prepare applications in your child's own words.
- To email you about your list and your applications. During the pilot we send only these service emails; we never send marketing without your express consent (CASL).
- To improve the service using counts and anonymised results only.
How we use AI
We use an AI model (Anthropic Claude) to search official award pages, extract award details and draft applications. The AI only works from the official pages it reads and from your child's own interview notes. Every award and every application is checked by a named human reviewer before you see it, and nothing is submitted without your written approval. Where an award prohibits writing help, we provide an outline and coaching only.
Who sees it
- You (the parent or guardian) see everything about your family.
- Your child sees their own profile, applications and drafts, but not billing.
- Your named reviewer sees the families assigned to them, but not billing details.
- Lifenavv's founders (administrators) can see everything, to run and audit the service.
- Service providers process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing) and Plausible (cookie-free analytics). Some of these providers store data outside Canada.
- Award providers receive an application only after you approve it.
Access is enforced in our database, not only on screen: one family cannot see another's data.
How long we keep it
This is our full retention schedule (the same as docs/RETENTION.md in our records).

Deleting your data
Reply to any Lifenavv email with the word "delete", email privacy@lifenavv.ca, or use Delete our family's data in your dashboard. We delete within 7 days and email you when it is done. We keep only the anonymised results row and the audit record with names removed, as described above.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child, and you can withdraw consent at any time. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
